2018 has been a challenging year for Bridges. Despite the turmoil in Nicaragua, we are responding and adapting our programs to meet the current needs of our communities. This year, our team, along with our dedicated volunteers and generous donors:
- Built 63 homes, 38 sanitary latrines and biodigesters, 2 classroom buildings, and 1 school kitchen
- Mentored and hosted workshops for our 71 scholarship students and 150 youth committee members
- Bought materials and hosted workshops to cultivate family gardens that provide supplemental food and income
Together we don't just build structures and give scholarships; we inspire change and cultivate the skills of community leaders and residents that help end the cycle of poverty.
